Terms of service
The ground rules for using Foothills Privacy. Last updated: November 3, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Foothills Privacy, a d/b/a of Hickory Trade Web Design LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“we,” “us”). By signing up, you agree to them.
1. What we do
We search people-search and data-broker websites for listings that contain your personal information, submit opt-out or removal requests on your behalf, complete related email confirmations, and re-check those sites monthly during your plan, re-submitting removals for listings that reappear.
2. Your authorization
You authorize us to act as your agent to submit removal requests to third-party websites using the information you provide. You confirm that the information is accurate and that you are the person named, or have legal authority to act for them (for example, a family member who has given permission, or a guardian).
3. No guarantee of results
- We do not guarantee any specific reduction in spam calls, texts or emails. Unwanted contact comes from many sources beyond people-search sites, including data breaches, random dialing and marketing lists.
- Removals depend on third-party sites. Each site controls its own opt-out process and timing. Some may delay, deny or ignore requests, or change their process.
- Listings can reappear. Sites refresh data from public records and other sources. That’s why we re-check monthly, but we cannot prevent new listings from appearing between checks.
- We cannot remove information from government records, news sites, social media, or your own or your employer’s websites.
4. Your responsibilities
Provide accurate information and keep your email address current. Don’t ask us to remove information about someone without their permission or your legal authority.
5. Pricing, billing and renewal
- The annual plan is $69 per person per year, plus $39 per year for each additional person added, unless a different price is shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your plan renews automatically each year at the then-current price, charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel.
- We’ll email you a reminder before your plan renews. We send it at least 7 days before the renewal date.
- If we change the price, we’ll tell you before your next renewal.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel anytime by emailing hello@foothillsprivacy.com.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Your service continues through the end of the year you’ve paid for.
- If you change your mind within 14 days of your first purchase and we haven’t started your removals yet, we’ll give you a full refund. After that, we don’t offer partial refunds, but you can cancel anytime so your plan won’t renew.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for the actions of third-party websites or for indirect or consequential damages.
8. Ending service
We may end service if information provided is false, if a request is made without proper authority, or if these terms are violated. If we end service without cause, we’ll refund the unused portion of your plan.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Catawba County, NC.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here and notify current customers of significant changes by email.
