Foothills Privacy (“we,” “us”) is a d/b/a of Hickory Trade Web Design LLC, based in Hickory, North Carolina. Our whole business is helping people keep their personal information private, so we hold ourselves to the same standard.
What we collect
- Contact and identity details: your full name (and other names you’ve used), phone number(s), email address, city, state, zip and current street address.
- Date of birth: only used when a specific site requires it to locate or confirm your record.
- Your signed authorization allowing us to submit removal requests on your behalf.
- Service records: which sites listed you, what we submitted, and confirmation emails related to your removals.
- Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
Why we collect it
We use your information only to provide the service: to find your listings on people-search and data-broker sites, submit opt-out requests, complete confirmations, perform monthly re-checks, communicate with you, and process your subscription. Opt-out forms often require the same details that appear in the listing, so we collect only what those forms need.
Who we share it with
- People-search and data-broker sites, only as needed to submit your removal requests (for example, entering your name and address in a site’s opt-out form).
- Service providers who help us operate, such as Stripe (payments), our secure form provider (e.g. Jotform), and our email provider. They may use your data only to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena or court order.
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
How we store and protect it
- Intake forms are collected through an encrypted form service, not stored on this website.
- Access is limited to the people who perform your removals, using accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
- We do not ask for, and you should never send us, your Social Security number, passwords, or bank details.
- No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by North Carolina law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your plan is active so we can perform monthly re-checks. After you cancel, we delete your intake details within 30 days, except for limited records we must keep for tax, payment or legal reasons.
Your choices and deletion on request
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@foothillsprivacy.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Deleting your information means we can no longer perform re-checks for you.
This website
This site does not use advertising trackers. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance.
Children
Our service is for adults. A parent or legal guardian may sign up on behalf of a minor or a person in their care, with appropriate authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, let current customers know by email.
